(Cute weather pun. Back in the earlier days of television, all the “meteorologist” needed was a loud sports coat and a gregarious personality. They were more simply known as weathermen, back then. Now, they are qualified and certified, so we have to take them more seriously. Sure. Almost all of those we see on the news today are wanna-be actors, following carefully crafted scripts. Television Journalism has become a kind of oxymoron. The “News” these day is much more emotional, than informational. It’s: All the news we want you to hear . . . told to you by your friends. Edward R. Murrow, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Harry Reasoner, Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, et al. are no doubt spinning in their graves. A tangent? Moi??? Oh, well. I guess I’m going to lose a few subscribers!
No new clue words, but we have three new jumbles, according to my records. Only the one for “erupt” has definitely been used before. But, it’s a good one. Made me stop and think, for a moment. The others kinda jumped out at me. Fine answer letter layout. Cool cartoon. I like the weather guy’s hair! Most weather people have great hair. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
