Terry Pratchett docudrama is a fittingly imaginative tribute to Discworld's genius | Terry Pratchett | The Guardian

Wisdom comes from experience.  Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom.”   —   Terry Pratchett

(So much of life is trial and error.  It’s not always easy, but if we’re smart we learn from our mistakes.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Only in our dreams are we free.  The rest of the time we need wages.”   —   Terry Pratchett

(Very amusing quote.  He seemed to be a very interesting, and clever, fellow.  It’s a shame he died so young from advanced early onset Alzheimer’s.  I liked this quote graphic because it kind of reminds me of the closing scene of “The Shawshank Redemption”, one of my all-time favorite movies!  I can’t believe that Stephen Colbert says he’s never seen the movie.  Not enough magical thinking for him I guess.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this.”   —   Terry Pratchett

(I think cat lovers kinda like being subservient to their . . . masters!  I grew up with both cats and dogs, and love them both.  But dogs don’t claw the furniture, or curtains.  And, I’d rather walk my dog three or four times a day, than have to deal with a litter box!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.”   —   Terry Pratchett

(Which is hardly a bad thing, if you mainly associate with good people, and your will is strong enough to discard the bad that comes along.  The small, closed off mind will never take you very far.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

There’s no such thing as writer’s block.  That was invented by people in California who couldn’t write.”   —   Terry Pratchett

California poppy

(I know some people in California who might take offense to this statement.  But of course, this was all said in jest.  This was a remarkably easy solve, with the apostrophized words, the word PEOPLE, and words that started with TH.  The hardest thing might have been in getting the author.  This is our first Terry Pratchett quote, and the first quote of any Terry at all, since I’ve been posting these spoilers.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
