Clue/Question:  They sat together with a bowl of pork rinds and – – –

Answer:  CHEWED THE FAT

(Crunchy fat that is!  I don’t eat them regularly, but I do like me some pork rinds!  Especially the barbecue flavored ones.  Or, the spicy hot ones.  Plain are okay too, but I prefer them with a little zing to them.  They go great with beer!  Just like potato chips, pretzels, peanuts, corn chips, and of course Cheesy Poofs!  Yeah, I can’t imagine pork rinds – deep fried pork fat – being too good for the old ticker.

We have seen all of today’s clue words in previous Jumbles, and they’re all on the ralis95 clue word database.  All four of the jumbles appear to be new though.  I saw them all immediately.  The answer letter layout was a terrific twelve letter jumble.  Deliciously cryptic!  But I got the final answer quickly.

I have no idea who the guys are in this cartoon.  Famous ex somebodies from the Midwest, I guess.  I know it’s not, but the balding guy reminds me of Teller, of Penn and Teller.  So, that’s why I’m giving you the picture of him.  I’m sure the all knowing Jumble Historian will chime in with who Jeff was drawing, and the connection to barbecuing and pork rinds.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
