Clue/Question: The new equipment they used to trim the bushes was – – –
Answer: CUTTING “HEDGE“
(I want ME one O them! I don’t have a big hedge, but I do have numerous bushes that need trimming annually. Plus, I have this neighbor who planted – what were supposed to be just – “bushes” about thirty years ago, but they grew into twenty five foot TREES! The height doesn’t bother me so much, but all the lower branches jut out about eight feet onto my property, making it very difficult to cut the grass on that side of the back yard. Now a laser trimmer would be SO sweet! And if his tree-bushes should happen to catch fire??? Oops! Mistakes happen!
No new clue words today. Three of the jumbles are coming up as new for me, but we have unequivocally seen “nirdg” in an earlier jumble. I thought “tayerg” was the toughest of the jumbles. I had to skip over it, and come back to it. The answer letter layout was tree-mendous twelve letter jumble! Initially, I thought it was a little intimidating, but the pun just kind of came to me. Nice job, Mr. Hoyt.
The cartoon almost has a space age look to it. Of course, I have no idea if this is supposed to be laser technology, but it looks pretty cool. Real clean cut! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
