(“It’s not a gang, It’s a club!”  Wow.  That is going back some!  I think originally it was from an SNL skit.  I can’t find it though.  Anyway.  Fun pun.  A little easier than yesterday’s Jumble.

None of the clue words are new, although three of the jumbles appear to be new.  We’ve definitely seen “girro” before.  Initially, I misspelled “gauge”.  I spelled it “guage”.  I think it’s a common mistake.  Most words that start with GAU are pronounced like GAW, as in GAUDY, GAUNT, GAUZE and GAUCHO.  Or, the O sound, as in GAUCHE.  I think a lot of us feel like the U is like that in GUARD, or GUARANTEE . . . or GUARANTY.  Effectively silent.  I guess GAUGE is just one of those words that kind of defies the normal conventions!  The answer letter layout was a nice jumble.  And, it’s equally effective as RUAWTFR, or as the more correct RAUWTFR.

Amusing suburban cartoon!  Landscaping firms by me are mainly owned by white guys, but they’re almost exclusively manned with day laborers from Mexico and Central American countries.  Gee!  I wonder why that is???  I bet the owners are big hypocrites, and complain that illegal immigrants are destroying the economy/country.  Meanwhile, they’re laughing all the way to the bank, folks!  I guess that’s the REAL American Way!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
