Answer:  IN THE RUNNING

(Nice figurative/literal pun!  None of the clue words were new today, but all of the jumbles appear to be new.  I struggled some with both “tenant” and “scenic”, so I’d say those were the tougher jumbled words.  Nice letter groupings!  The answer letter layout was swell, but the clue/question setup made the answer pretty obvious.  Along with the great cartoon, of course.  Another buddy of mine will be running the New York Marathon this year.  I believe it will be his first, although his wife has run it a couple of times.  Best of luck to Dr. Lou Medved!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
