Stevie Wonder has ninth child on the way

Just because a man lacks the use of his eyes doesn’t mean he lacks vision.”   —   Stevie Wonder

(Maybe, it’s because of the imperfection that he – and others like him – became a person of vision.  For me, it would never be a fair trade off.  I would hate to lose any of my senses.  I’m not that brave.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness.”   —   Stevie Wonder

(Lula Mae Hardaway! Boy, could the world use Stevie’s mama right about now!  After the recent mosque shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand the world is sorely lacking in both love and compassion.  Why can’t some people just adhere to the Golden Rule, and leave all the archaic trappings of tribalism in the past . . . where they belong?  I remember all the *arguments* for the TSA and Homeland Security, and the entire USA PATRIOT Act, following the “attacks” of 9/11/01.  The notion of making the country, and the world, “secure” always struck me as hollow.  There is no such thing.  And, there never will be.  Not the way things are going.  The hatred and resentment of so many, all around the world, just seems to grow and grow.  The advent of social media appears to be a leading factor, because every nut with an axe to grind can easily find a kindred spirit.  The genie is definitely out of the bottle.  What the heck is the answer, people???  I, for one, do not see a silver lining anywhere on the horizon.  Someone needs to come up with some kind of hatred vaccine, because this is bordering on a pandemic.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.”   —   Stevie Wonder

(Aaww!  What a nice thing to say about his mom.  Ms. Lula Mae Hardaway!  Much of her early life was filled with poverty and abuse, but she persevered to raise Stevie and his four brothers and a sister.  I’ve always been a big Stevie fan.  I’m betting that Stevie made the last 43 years of her life very comfortable.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
