Answer: ROSE TO IT
(Pardon my pigeon French! Today’s pun actually smelled nice! Well, as nice as roses smell these days. In their breeding them to last longer, they’ve actually lost a lot of their original aroma. Which is a shame. If you can find an old rose bush, especially one that’s gone wild, take a good whiff, and then compare it to some commercial roses. You will smell the difference. I guarantee it!
Well, we had no new clue words today, and only two new jumbles. We’ve definitely seen “nooni” and “nilmeg” before. The answer letter layout was actually pretty good, but with Jeff’s great cartoon there was little doubt as to the answer. I wonder what the special occasion was??? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
