What is it that disappears when you make a U-turn?  A parking space.”   —   Source Unknown

(This is part of the driving branch of Murphy’s Law!  It’s a good thing, for me, that civilization has brought us to where we are, because my predatory skills are sorely lacking.  Even though the women were supposed to be the gatherers, while the men were the hunters, I’m ALWAYS losing a parking spot to some sneaky woman!  I just don’t have those instincts.  I almost always end up parking in the hinterlands, and have to trek in from the boonies.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Between stimulus and response there is a space.  In that space is our power to choose our response.”   —   Source Unknown

(Yeah . . . sort of.  This is assuming a certain level of intelligence.  And, the space is a little longer than a nanosecond!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

When it snows, you have two choices:  shovel or make snow angels.”   —   Source Unknown

(I was really tired when trying to solve this last night, and it took me a while to get it.  Hopefully, it was easier for the rest of you.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Time well spent is time that was used treating other people well.”   —   Source Unknown

(I think this applies to most of us.  Unless you’re more like Gordon Gekko, or that prick from Glengarry Glenn Ross.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.”   —   Source Unknown

(Kind of a run-on cliché!  This might be true at certain stages of your life, but you’re more likely to run out of at least one or two of these necessary things.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Very humorous.  Sounds a little like Mark Twain, Josh Billings, or Will Rogers.  But, those guys’ quips have been pretty well reported.  Initially, I was able to see THE TWO, THAT, ARE and AND right off the bat.  But, it took a while for the rest of it to flesh out.  It even took a while for me to see it was SOURCE UNKNOWN.  We haven’t had one of these *anonymous* ones in a while.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Dress a monkey as you will, it will remain a monkey still.”   —   Source Unknown

(Sorta the Dear Abby to Source Obscure’s Ask Ann Landers!  And, right on the heels of yesterday’s Jumble on The Monkees!  Coincidence???  I think not!  LOL!  I like the sing-songiness of this quote.  This is a more genteel and poetic way of saying:  You can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.  Who’s ever felt a sow’s ear?  I never have.  I imagine they have coarse hair, and aren’t very supple.  Are any of my readers pig farmers?  Write in, people.  🙂  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
