(130 years ago today, the Statue of Liberty arrived aboard the French ship Isere.  When erected, it was the first thing arriving immigrants saw as they approached New York Harbor.

There were no new clue words today, but all the jumbles were new to this blog, although the one for “cynic” is just in alphabetic order.  The answer letter layout was nicely cryptic!  I can see some people having some difficulty coming up with the answer.  The cartoon was lots of fun.  It looks like this ship had mainly Eastern Europeans!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
