Pre-Answer: Four Words (4-letters) (6-letters) (2-letters) (5-letters)
Answer: TOOK PEOPLE BY STORM
(That’s a good, old-fashioned, groaner of a pun! And, I love it! There really were a lot of people who had this channel on all day long, when it first came out. My aunt was one of them. I guess it was kind of a novelty.
All of today’s clue words are old favorites. However, five of the jumbles appear to be new. We have definitely seen “tuwoti” sometime in the past. None of them tripped me up. The answer letter layout was a stupendous seventeen letter jumble. It didn’t give anything away. I was able to see BY STORM immediately. And, with PLOKOEOTPE I was able to figure out TOOK PEOPLE.
Great cartoon of a 1980s scene. I remember buying a great Zenith color TV, with a corded remote, around that same time. Cordless remotes were not all that common until a couple of years later. Telephones were definitely corded though! Maybe this is Jeff, when he was in high school? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
