(A great reason for having a broad and diverse vocabulary! But nowadays, unfortunately, fewer and fewer people seem to appreciate, or even concern themselves, with a strong vocabulary. The current obsession with Math and Science is having a devastating effect on linguistics, the arts and many of the social sciences. We can’t afford to throw out the baby with the bathwater. We need to regain/maintain a balance with all the branches of education. One dimensional specialists can be virtually useless, outside of their insular elements. Every society needs more well-rounded citizens. Peace.) — YUR
