Clue/Question: Reading that Aconcagua was the tallest mountain in two hemispheres – – –
Pre-Answer: Three Words “(6-letters)” (3-letters) (8-letters)
Answer: “PEAKED“ HER INTEREST
(Of course it did! She’s a hiker and a mountain climber. But the boys got a little overzealous in their description of Aconcagua. If it were the tallest mountain in “two hemispheres” that would make it the tallest mountain in the world. And, of course, that distinction belongs to Mount Everest. But it IS the tallest mountain on two continents, North and South America. And, it’s the tallest mountain in the Southern Hemisphere. I’m sure the guys knew this. They’re just trying to keep us on our toes.
All six clue words have scaled Mt. Ralis95 before. Five of the jumbles are coming up as new, for me. But they’ve definitely used “lhuemi” some time ago. The answer letter layout was a stupendous seventeen letter jumble. Majestically cryptic! The quotation marks in the final answer slots were a big help in solving it.
Fine cartoon of the young couple. The young woman is researching the mountain online, while her companion looks on. From the photo on the wall it looks like she likes to go it alone. Good for her. Fun Sunday Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
