Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”   —   Robert Louis Stevenson

(This sounds a little backwards to me.  You can plant thousands of seeds, with no guarantee that anything is going to grow.  I’m not a big fan of when people write so figuratively/metaphysically.  RLS led a very interesting, though relatively short, life.  Born in Scotland, then back and forth between England, France, and the U.S.  And, on to Australia, numerous Pacific islands, and finally to Samoa, where he died at the age of 44.  A great and prolific writer, whose works have been translated into languages all around the world.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Keep your fear to yourself, but share your courage with others.”   —   Robert Louis Stevenson

(Too bad our government doesn’t hold this opinion.  Don’t buy into all of the fear/hype.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The most beautiful adventures are not those we go to seek.”   —   Robert Louis Stevenson

(I remember a detour I once had to take while traveling upstate to visit my family.  At first, I was a little miffed.  But, then I saw a sign for Taughannock Falls, and I figured:  What the heck.  I’ve got nothing to lose.  The place . . . blew me away.  So cool, so peaceful.  If you’re ever in the Ithaca area you should check it out.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

(Surprisingly, this is the first R.L.S. quotation, since I’ve been posting these spoilers.  I thought that it was quite easy to solve, but I really like the message.  As with ideas, the planting is the important thing.  Then, you just have to let nature take it’s course.  As long as you put them out there, people will pick up on them.  That’s all you should really hope for.  Peace, my friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Happy Birthday to Nida (Leonida)!  Her birthday coincides with the Leonids Meteor Shower, which is usually at it’s peak on this day.  Unfortunately, I’m hearing that visibility is not going to be optimum this year.  Too bad.  I love a good meteor shower.      YUR
