Answer: ABOVE THE LAW
(I think this pun scores a perfect 10 on the STINK-O-METER! But of course, it’s a totally visual pun. Without Jeff’s cartoon – as in this blog post – it’s just kind of an abstraction. That being said, there were no new clue words today. The jumbling was good. I can only confirm that the jumble of “vouch” has been used before. The others were new to me. Only “upbeat” gave me any trouble. Not spell-out or back into trouble. Just a few looks. The answer letter layout was a thing of beauty. It too was expertly jumbled. The cartoon was great also. It reminds me of something out of an old comedy short, like The Little Rascals, Laurel and Hardy, The Three Stooges, or The Marx Brothers. That’s the feeling I get. I bet people have trained crows and ravens to steal like this. They are very intelligent and resourceful creatures. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. If it isn’t coming up on it’s own, click on the link in between the clue/question and the answer. It’s kinda cute! — YUR
