Clue/Question: When they watched the Apollo 11 mission on TV, they watched a – – –
Answer: SPACE PROGRAM
(Great pun. And, a great coincidence, that I will tell you about a little later. There were no new clue words, but all of the jumbles came up as new. Can’t say I struggled with any of them though. The answer letter layout was a decent jumble too. Switching the order of the clue words might have made it a little tougher. The cartoon is great. Portable TVs were a great alternative to the console models. Cheaper too. The rabbit ear antennas, with aluminum foil extenders was a nice touch. And, it was completely acceptable for Dad to be smoking in front of the kids in those days. Not anymore. Not indoors at least. The space race was so important in the 60s. Whenever they would wheel in a TV to a classroom it was a good bet it was to watch the launching, or splashdown, of a space mission. Either Mercury, Gemini, or Apollo; we couldn’t get enough of it back then! Now, for the coincidence. The wife and I wanted to go see Trumbo yesterday, but it wasn’t playing where I wanted to go. And, it wasn’t playing until the evening. So, we went to see The Martian, with Matt Damon! I was surprised that it was still playing, because it’s been out over a month. If you get the chance to see it . . . do. Great story, great cast, and great effects. It is a fantastic movie! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
