Clue/Question:  When it came to buying the right glue for their model airplane, his father was being a – – –

Answer:  STICKLER

(A little surprised they didn’t go with STICK-LER, or quotation marks, or something.  I’m kind of a stickler for these kind of things!  No new clue words, but all of the jumbles came up as new.  None were terribly difficult to unjumble.  The answer letter layout was sufficiently cryptic, but this was not a difficult solve for me.  The cartoon, as usual, was lots of fun.  Takes me back to my childhood, when I was building various models.  I started off with classic horror movie monsters, like Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, and The Wolfman.  I think The Bride of Frankenstein and The Creature from the Black Lagoon too.  Then I was big into airplanes; mostly WWII fighter planes.  Then I got into various race cars.  A lot of roadsters and such.  It used to be a relatively inexpensive hobby.  I’m sure that’s probably changed.  Well, that was a nice little trip down memory lane!  I also went to school with a girl named Ann Shickler – maybe there was another C in there – and I just saw her at my 40th high school reunion.  Nice girl, fun reunion.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
