Answer: BAR–FLIES
(I always confuse the movies: Barfly and Ironweed. Different eras, but both dealt with depressing bar “life”, and both had great casts, and were supposedly “good” movies. However, today’s Jumble is a cute parody of the very amusing television series: Cheers! Maybe, the best thing about the show is that despite being set in a bar, and it showed people drinking, you never really saw anybody drunk! Not that I can remember at least. It was more about the human interactions, than the drinking.
There were no new clue words today, and only two of the jumbles came up as new. We’ve seen “clofa” and “cleri” before. I had some trouble getting “magnet”! Not sure if it was because I wasn’t at home, or what, but I ended up backing into it. The answer letter layout was a swell jumble too. It just didn’t take a whole lot of thought to get the answer, what with the clue/question and the great cartoon. It all made for a fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
