Clue/Question: The hypnotist’s new door made a great – – –
Answer: ENTRANCE
(An enticing stinky pun! But it’s not often that the guys – David L. Hoyt specifically – give us a homographic pun. It’s also not often that an ordinary portal can be so mesmerizing. But just the right design could lead to a hypnotic trance. Theoretically that is.
All of today’s clue words have been seen before. Though, three of the jumbles are coming up as new. We’ve definitely seen “nyepn” in previous Jumbles. I didn’t think that any of them were all that tough. The answer letter layout was a great eight letter jumble. Nothing obvious abut it at all.
Jeff really hammed up this cartoon. The hypnotist looks like a real Svengali. Even a little sinister. He certainly has that couple under his spell. That’s the stereotype of hypnotism, that it make people into obedient zombies. It’s right out of the old movies. But it made for a fun Jumble. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
