(I think you can be witty without being snooty  And, this line reeks of snootiness!  But, I guess the point is in not trying to be overly witty.  You end up appearing to try too hard, and all your quips sound forced, and you just become tedious.  But, I can think of a lot of treats I’d rather have than caviar.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
