Answer: “PURR–SIAN“ CAT
(Ernst Stavro Blofeld! I always liked the original – Donald Pleasance – Blofeld over any of the other Blofelds. He had a really great creepiness. And, there’s something about the first one you see that always kind of stays with you.
There were no new clue words today. But all of the jumbles came up as new for me this morning. It took a couple of looks for me to see “rayon”. It’s a man-made textile, so it didn’t sound like it could be a regular word. Maybe when it first was produced it wasn’t considered a regular word. But it’s been around for over a hundred years, so it’s pretty common. The answer letter layout was an elusive eleven letter jumble. Marvelously cryptic! You knew the three letter word was going to be CAT. And, the hyphenated en-quoted word was easy to figure out. Especially with Stavro saying “He sounds so content. Good kitty.”
Fun cartoon of the “You Only Live Twice” villain, stroking his long-haired kitty-cat, sitting in that big wacky black chair. I don’t really remember that much about the movie though. I’m sure that it was entertaining, for the devotees of James Bond movies. I was only a casual fan. What is going on with that globe in the background? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
