Sunday Jumble Spoiler – 11/25/18

Visual Description:  An ancient Greek Apple Store?

LUDSOH  =  SHOULD,  SLOYMT  =  MOSTLY,  NESUGI  =  GENIUS,  NDYOOB  =  NOBODY,  IVTNIE  =  INVITE,  PLUCTS  =  SCULPT   —   Giving us:  SHLOSTGNSNBIIESCU

Clue/Question:  The abacus sellers business had prospered which allowed him to – – –

Pre-Answer:  Three Words  (5-letters)  (3-letters)  (9-letters)

Answer:  COUNT HIS BLESSINGS

(Of course!  It just had to be COUNT something, right?  Well, it didn’t add up for me right away.  Nope.  I kept seeing the word BUSINESS, but that word was already in the clue/question.  And, it was one letter shy for the third word anyway.  So, then I thought that the first word might be BEGIN.  But, BEGIN his what???  The one thing that was constant for me was HIS.  Finally, I saw the word COUNT, and then the answer hit me.

All of today’s clue words are familiar old favorites.  Surprisingly, all of the jumbles came up as new.  None of the jumbles tripped me up today.  But, the answer letter layout was an exceptional 17-letter jumble, that did trip me up for a while.  If you were a little thick this morning, like me, and didn’t pick up on the obvious word COUNT, then you may have struggled to come up with the final answer too.

Great cartoon.  It definitely has the feel of one of today’s Apple stores.  They intimidate me a little bit, because I’m a bit of a troglodyte.  But, I do go in occasionally, to get the lint cleaned out of my charging jack!  But, as soon as I walk into the store, they surround me, as if they’re seeing some prehistoric oddity, or something.  And, I even make sure to leave my spear in the car!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
