(But, I suppose it could be the closing bell too!  It looks like they’re just about to ring it.  If so, Jumble closed up a robust 25 points!  While the former stalwart, Crossword, closed down either 15 or 19 points.  Ouch!  Hopefully, Will Shortz got in on the ground floor with Jumble.  This is probably a temporary setback for Crossword.  They’ve always been very resilient.

All of today’s clue words are members of the ralis95 Big Board of Clue Words.  Three of the jumbles appear to be new, but we have definitely seen “ruyhr” in the past.  The answer letter layout was an enigmatic eleven letter jumble.  It gave nothing away.  It took some thought to get the final answer.

Fine stock exchange cartoon.  Not sure if that is Stacey Cunningham, or Adena Friedman.  I’m pretty sure it’s not Dr. Deborah Birx, AKA:  Scarf Lady!  Jeff and David definitely look happy.  I don’t think Will Shortz benefits from an Uncle Rave kind of blog, or the many imitators, like Jeff and David do.  Pity.  I still do the crossword puzzle, Will!  Oh, wait.  My paper carries the LA Times crossword.  Never mind!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
