Answer: CURRENT TRENDS
(A classic groaner of a pun, if I ever heard one! And, it did not come to me right away. I just wasn’t picking up on the obvious clue. I guess I was slow on the updraft.
All of the clue words are on the ralis95 clue word database. However, all four jumbles are coming up as new, for me. It took a couple of looks for me to see “rancid”. The answer letter layout was a twisty twelve letter jumble. Very nicely cryptic. Getting the final answer was far from a breeze for me. So, I wrote out both the vowels and the consonants, in alphabetical order. That helped me to see CURRENT, and the leftover ETRDN gave me TREND.
Great cartoon of the television newsroom. As far as I can tell, there is no television station with the call letters WVWN. I like how the weather girl and the map are in the view finder of the television camera. The anchor person better be careful with his comments! In this age of #MeToo just about any compliment, or comment, can be taken as “inappropriate”. They warned us of those slippery slopes, folks! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
