Belated Jumble Spoiler – 09/02/21

Dodge County Swap Meet | Dodge County Fairgrounds

Visual Description:  Some place I’ve never experienced.

LUVAT  =  VAULT,  RNIKB  =  BRINK,  PRXIEE  =  EXPIRE,  GRINIO  =  ORIGIN   —   Giving us:  VATRKEIEOG

Clue/Question:  There were 100 people at the swap meet, – – –

Fresno Swap Meet holds grand opening in northwest Fresno - ABC30 Fresno

Answer:  GIVE OR TAKE

(I’ve been to a number of flea markets before, but never to an actual swap meet.  I’m sure they exist, I’ve just never been exposed to one.  So, you drive to this gathering place, with something you no longer want, in hopes of trading it to someone for something that you do want?  Sounds like Commie Crap, to me!  JKLOL!  Actually, it sounds like a very neighborly way of transacting business.

All of the clue words already reside on the world famous ralis95 clue word database.  Two of the jumbles appear to be new, but we’ve definitely seen both “luvat” and “grinio” in earlier Jumbles.  I believe they all came to me immediately.  The answer letter layout was tenacious ten letter jumble.  Wonderfully cryptic.  The pun just seemed to come to me though.

Fun cartoon of the bartering event.  I can’t really make out much, except for the folding tables, but I do see someone with a guitar!  I think the kid is holding some kind of Jumble game, or puzzle.  And, one guy is using a milk crate for a seat.  Well, it’s directly behind his butt.  Much smarter than these kids who build a pyramid with them, then challenge someone to climb it!  I guess the trick, at these swap meets, is to find something of comparable value, so no one feels cheated.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

I was just talking to my stepson about this Nancy Sinatra song, backed by The Wrecking Crew!  Those guys were responsible for SO many hit songs of the ’60s and ’70s!

Answer:  IMPOSING

(Can I get a rim-shot?  That is definitely a very stinky pun.  But that’s what Jumbles are all about!  Making some people groan, while making the rest of us – fans – chuckle.  Not as imaginative and cute as yesterday’s Jumble, but it met the requirements of our daily fix.

All of today’s clue words are presently members of the ralis95 clue word database.  Surprisingly, all of the jumbles appear to be new.  I especially enjoyed “pytis” and “ngiogn”.  The answer letter layout was a sedate eight letter jumble.  Sufficiently cryptic.

Fine cartoon of a fashion shoot.  Models, a little pedestal, and studio lights.  To take away the – stereotypical – creepiness they made the photographer a woman.  Hey!  A woman can sexually harass other women just as easily as a man can!  Well, technically at least.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
