(Aah! Mindfulness! That’s the current buzzword for living in the moment. It’s good advice, but it kind of runs contrary to how most of us have been raised, to always be thinking about the future. Be prepared! Ya gotta plan! Ya gotta save! Contingencies! Contingencies!! Contingencies!!! Remember “The Ant and the Grasshopper”! We need to temper all the stress of preparation by seeing the forest for the trees. And just breathing, and appreciating the now. Too many parents miss out on so much of their kids lives, by not doing this. Don’t be a lazy lump, but grasp the beauty of the present. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
