(Another unnecessary compound word!  But, it’s Christmas!  So, who really cares?  All of today’s clue words are old friends, and two of the jumbles are new.  We’ve seen “greem” and “rupen” before.  The answer letter layout did a bang-up job of hiding the answer.  Another great jumble.   The cartoon is a lot of fun.  It really looks like Will Farrell in the upper right, and I like the limbo-ing elves, led by Hermey.  Santa, Rudolph and the lecherous elf, and the mistletoe victim complete the picture.  Merry Christmas to all!  It’s a great day to make merry.  Or, if you’re married . . . to a gal named Mary . . .   Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
