“Never limit yourself because of others’ limited imagination; never limit others because of your own limited imagination.” — Mae Jemison
(With Part 2, you often have to fight the limitations imposed upon you, while you were growing up. This problem can be cyclical, like physical, sexual, and verbal/emotional abuse. One could easily argue that it’s a form of verbal/emotional abuse. Even if the person limits you out of their perception of “what is good for you” it can stifle your confidence. All people need to be encouraged to try. Even if you fail you’ll learn from the experience. Not trying gets you nowhere.
How cool that Mae was both an actual astronaut, and she played a crew member on an episode of Star Trek: TNG! Be well and do good, friends. Take Mae’s words to heart!) — YUR
