Whiteboard from down my hall

Visual Description:  Mssrs Heit and Woolf exalting in dry-erasable markers.

LAPAH  =  ALPHA,  YRUMK  =  MURKY,  YESLUR  =  SURELY,  BLIGRE  =  GERBIL   —   Giving us:  AAMKRELERB

Clue/Question:  When whiteboards were invented in the 1960s, people thought they were . . .

Answer:  REMARKABLE

(Before anyone goes nuts, trying to Google the pair that yer uncle cited, save your keystrokes.  There is no reason to believe that Martin Heit, the inventor of the whiteboard, worked with Jerry Woolf, the inventor of the dry-erasable marker.  I just threw them together to give names to Jeff Knurek’s characters in the 5/10/12 Jumble cartoon.  I don’t want any school kid citing this blog as a source for some school paper saying that they did work together.  You know how the internet works.  Out of the mouths of boobs!  Whereas there is – arguably? – not enough truth in the mainstream, corporate media these days, there is far too much “truth” on the internet.  You have to be discriminating in the “information” that this medium provides.  My lawyers tell me that this disclaimer is worth exactly as much as the paper it is written on.

Jumble???  Oh, yeah!  No new clue words today, but everything was jumbled nicely.  The answer letter layout did not give anything away.  The answer was a nifty 10-letter long word.  And, the cartoon illustrates the story very well.  I’m leaving you today with a link to a truly Remarkable, classic film scene from The Little Rascals.  Love that baby Spanky!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
