Answer:  STAND OUT

(And, that it did!  Advertisers have known this for ages.  They appeal to our basic animal instincts.  Flash sells.  We like the bright and shiny objects.  But more often than not, it’s more sizzle than steak.  Most are kind of oblivious to it, while some others see right through it.  I prefer the simpler stands.

Day 9 with all familiar old clue words.  However, all of the jumbles appear to be new!  I didn’t struggle with any of them today.  The answer letter layout was a lovely jumble.  David continues to make them decidedly cryptic.  Jeff’s cartoon is very cute.  With the bucket of lemons poking out from behind the stand.  Do kids today even bother with real lemons?  Maybe they’re just props?  And, what looks like some kind of a blimp in the sky, advertising Lily’s stand.  Lot’s of fun.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
