LABFE = FABLE, ETNTE = TENET, DIROHA = HAIRDO, SIPOME = IMPOSE — Giving us: FLETNTHIOPOE
Clue/Question: Their kite flew so well because it was – – –
Answer: TOP–OF–THE–LINE
(A certain someone is not going to be so happy with another hyphenated answer! Oh, well. Such is life! The word “tenet” is coming up as a new clue word, as it is not on my 02/04/15 copy of the ralis95 clue word database. I’m pretty sure we’ve seen it before, so it’s either newer than 02/04, or it came to us on a Sunday . . . long ago . . . in a galaxy far far away! The other three clue words are old favorites, but all of the jumbles came up as new, for me. Today’s answer describes today’s answer letter layout, to a tee. It gave nothing away. And, the cartoon was nifty, swifty and adrifty! Is that Lake Michigan, Jeff? Despite the hyphenation, I thought today’s Jumble was a real high flyer! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
