24 Great Kobe Bryant Stories to Read on 8/24 | GQ

The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”   —   Kobe Bryant

(We last saw this very positive quote with the Cryptoquote of 12/10/2014.  Sadly, Kobe left us a little over two years ago, at the age of 41, after dying in that tragic helicopter crash, with his 13 year old daughter Gianna, and eight other people.  This story shocked the world, and a little more than a month later we were all caught up in the COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed so many lives.  And, now we have this devastating war in Ukraine!  Don’t pass up the opportunity to tell your loved ones that you love them, folks.  We never know when our number might be called.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”   —  Kobe Bryant

(He’s in his 18th season of the NBA, after being drafted . . . directly out of high school.  He has 5 NBA Championships, and made the Finals a few other times.  He’s been in 16 NBA All-Star Games, being named MVP in 4 of them.  He’s been on two U.S. Men’s Olympic Gold Medal winning teams.  He’s played his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers, and is their all-time scoring leader.  His career numbers are insane, both offensively and defensively.  He once scored 81 points in a single game, against the Toronto Raptors, which is second only to Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game, which came in an era when professional basketball was not what it is today.  He has so many accolades that it would take me all afternoon to list them out for you.  All this and he’s still only 36 years old.  Incredible.  Be well . . . no, be great . . . and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
