Cryptoquote Spoiler – 02/12/19

If only one could tell true love from false love, as one can tell mushrooms from toadstools.”   —   Katherine Mansfield

(I fail on both accounts.  Don’t rely on me when foraging in the woods.  It has been quite some time since we’ve had a quote from this lovely writer of short stories, who died far too young.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

Cryptoquote Spoiler – 12/06/11

“The pleasure of all reading is doubled when one lives with another who shares the same books.”   —   Katherine Mansfield

(No relation to Jayne.  Sorry, ralis95!  Katherine was an accomplished modernist writer, and Jayne was a blond bombshell movie star, from the mid ’50s to the later ’60s.  Ironically though, they both died at age 34.  Katherine from a long battle with tuberculosis, and Jayne died in a tragic auto accident.  Katherine was an attractive women herself.  She was no Jayne Mansfield, of course, but then again Jayne was no Katherine Mansfield.  If you know what I mean.  I miss Zemanta!  If I had it I could spice these spoilers up with some great pics.  Be well, do good . . . and drive defensively, friends!)   —   YUR

Links will have to do!  Here’s something on Katherine:

Prettier than Marilyn?  Matter of taste, I suppose.
