“Some people don’t like change, but you need to embrace change if the alternative is disaster.” — Elon Musk
(I remember a reader, from a few years back, who said that he was not a fan of Elon Musk’s because of how he sometimes acted and spoke. I think that Elon may have spoken at the university where the reader worked at, and it left him a little cold. I wonder if – now that Elon has revealed he has Asperger’s Syndrome – that reader has softened his opinion of him? I just watched the SNL opening monologue that Musk did last Saturday, and I thought it was great. But, apparently, not everyone did! A story on MarketWatch criticizes him for using the term Asperger’s, and NOT mentioning that it’s on the the Autism Spectrum. I think that anybody with half a brain realizes that Asperger’s IS on the autism spectrum, and that that spectrum is pretty wide. But they didn’t really say what the preferred – politically “correct” – terminology is! It did go on to say that another man was diagnosed with “the autism-spectrum-disorder condition commonly known as Asperger syndrome”, but that’s not exactly catchy. That’s like “the artist formerly known as Prince” . . . on steroids! Then the article goes on to PRAISE Greta Thunberg for calling her Asperger’s diagnosis her superpower!?!? There’s either a double standard going on here, or I guess poor old Elon just can’t please some people. Maybe they’re short selling Tesla! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
