I always read the last page of a book first so that if I die before I finish I’ll know how it turned out.”   —   Nora Ephron (1941 – 2012)

(I always thought her name sounded like the neurotransmitter: Norepinephrine, which is used to increase the heart rate, blood pressure and sugar level of the blood, and also in dilating the bronchi.  She actually screen-wrote, and/or directed, and/or produced some of my favorite movies.  In a few cases she did all three, as she did in Michael, starring John Travolta, Andie MacDowell and William Hurt.  It’s one of the few movies that I actually liked/enjoyed William Hurt.  Normally, he just bugs the crap out of me.  He always comes off as such a snooty, arrogant prick.  It’s probably just me.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  I think Travolta screwed up Idina Menzel‘s name (Adele Dazeem) at the 2014 Oscars . . . on purpose!  He’s reading the entire introduction from a teleprompter!  He squints through the entire reading, but he doesn’t hesitate or fumble a single word . . . up to the point where he butchers her name.  Face it, her name isn’t anything common, like Amy Adams, Claire Danes, Kate Moss, or Demi Moore.  Her name is a little funkier, and until this past Academy Awards even I struggled to get it right.  She couldn’t possibly buy better PR!  Now, EVERYBODY knows her name!   —   YUR
