Clue/Question: Mary Shelley’s success as an author was a result of her having – – –
Answer: NOVEL IDEAS
(I wonder if she wore white makeup, with black lipstick, and had some funky piercings??? The girl was ahead of her time. I never realized she wrote “Frankenstein” when she was only 21. That’s pretty young for such an impressive piece of literature. She was also quite the little homewrecker! At age 17 she fell in love with – the married – Percy Bysshe Shelley . . . and married him a couple of years later . . . after his wife committed “suicide”. Hmm!
The clue words are all classics. However, all of their jumbles appear to be new. The answer letter layout was an excellent ten letter jumble. I thought it did a marvelous job of disguising the final answer. I guess the big clue came from her friend’s comment about the story being “original”. But, if I picked up on that, it must have been subliminally.
Great period piece cartoon! Maybe the other woman is her stepsister, Claire Clairmont? I don’t think it could have been any kind of publisher. Not in those days. Cool Jumble though. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
