Clue/Question: When Tabitha Spruce met Stephen King in college, she met – – –
Answer: MR. “WRITE“
(And, he . . . Mrs. “Write”, to a lesser extent, as she is also an author. Very few are as prolific as Stephen King though. James Patterson can crank them out too, but King’s can be rather lengthy at times, while Patterson seems to be able to keep his stories to under 400 pages. But, none of this has anything to do with today’s Jumble!
No new clue words today, but I did enjoy the jumbling of both “motion” and “theory”. TOMINO put me in mind of tomatillos, which I just heard/read about for the first time. I thought that the chef/author was just trying to sound ethnic, talking about some kind of small, Mexican tomatoes, or something, but they are a “fruit” unto themself, and are used in making Mexican/Central American green sauces. They are in the same family as tomatoes though. It was a recipe for something called Denver Green Chili, and it sounded good to me! But of course, I’m a sucker for stews and chilis. I likes my comfort food, folks! Oh, yeah. The Jumble. The answer letter layout was pretty spiffy today. Nothing given away there. And, that’s saying a lot for a short answer like today’s. The cartoon was charming and romantic. Was King expecting this, Jeff? Or, was he just kind of the most logical choice for this Jumble? Doesn’t really matter, I guess. I just know that sometimes Jeff has very specific reasons for his cartoons. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
