Answer:  RING TRUE

(Proving that a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.  I saw the Liberty Bell once, back in the early ’80s.  I don’t remember if it had the glass around it, or not, back then.  I thought this made for a great Jumble.  I also thought that we might have a new clue word in “sewage”, but the jumble of it came up in my WordPress Tag list, so I guess it must be newer . . . than 12/31/13.  The three other clue words have been around a while, but their jumbles were new.  The answer letter layout was another nice jumble.  I don’t think it gave the answer away.  Do you?  Top notch cartoon too.  Messrs. Hoyt and Knurek deserve our gratitude.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  Zemanta is acting up . . . again.  I hope to add more links when it stops being difficult.   —   YUR
