Clue/Question:  To see proof that the car wasn’t well-cared-for, he looked at the – – –

Answer:  “EVI–DENTS“

(Super Monday pun day!  This car was either caught in a major hail storm, or it was stored/parked by a driving range, for a period of time.  Or, maybe a jealous spouse had at it? Either/any way, nobody wants to buy a badly dimpled car.  Especially, from a sleazy looking cat like that.

I don’t think I really have to tell you that there were no new clue words today.  I’m pretty sure you’ve seen these all before.  Two of the jumbles appear to be new, with “penit” and “prive” having definitely been used before.  For only being eight letters long, the answer letter layout made for a fine jumble.  The hyphen and the quotation marks were the big – non-visual – clues.

Great used car lot cartoon.  Of course this isn’t Uncle Rave’s Used Cars, because you know he’d never try to sell you a car like that!  LOL!  And, he’d never employ a sleaze-ball like the salesman depicted.  Only gently pre-owned vehicles, sold by clean shaven, all-American sales professionals at Uncle Rave’s!  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
