Answer: FLATLY DENY IT
(A sneaky, stinky pun! The guys went out of their way to not use the word round, knowing that it would trigger the word flat in most readers’ minds. Very good, guys!
All of today’s clue words were already present on the ralis95 clue word database. However, all of the jumbles appear to be new. I only had some trouble seeing “sinful”. And, please don’t complain about “fatty”. No one is calling anyone fat here! This blog is a “haven” for “wildly” diverse points of view, except for the blatantly hateful ones. The answer letter layout was a superb twelve letter jumble. I thought it hid the answer very well. I confidently checked off the letters for DENY IT, and left myself with ATYLFL. It was only there that I saw FLATLY and got the pun. Good job, David.
Great cartoon of an espouser of the “lunatic fringe”. Christopher Columbus pretty much dispelled that thinking back in 1492. And, no one really brought up the ancient notion over the last 525 – give or take – years, until the 9/11 Truth movement started to gain more adherents. Even the “faked moon landing” people were pretty much dead and buried, until the 9/11 Truth movement got rolling. Many people look at these Flat Earth clowns, and “faked moon landing” clowns as plants, with the intention of de-legitimizing all alternative theories. The sad thing is it’s having the desired effect. A lot of people see these ridiculous theories, and then lump all alternative theories as “conspiracy theories”. The marketing and propaganda that goes on in this country is literally mind-numbing. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
