Clue/Question: He wrote a letter to his old fishing buddy because he wanted to – – –
Answer: DROP HIM A LINE
(Good pun of an increasingly vanishing older phrase. I don’t think some of the kids today would get “DROP HIM A LINE”. I think the Jumble is working hard to keep the old adages, idioms and sayings alive! And, that’s a good thing.
No new clue words today. However, all of the jumbles are coming up as new. The only one to trip me up a little was “rfaoll”. But, just a little. The answer letter layout was a nicely cryptic eleven letter jumble. I had to think for a minute, before the final answer came to me.
Nice cartoon of a couple in his office/den. I liked the trophies and photo on the wall. Fishing is both a lot of fun, and it’s relaxing. The last time I did any fishing was at one of my grandson’s birthday parties. It was at this man-made, stocked pond, and the sunnies were hitting just about everything you put in the water. They were tiny, but the kids really had a great time. Fun Monday pun. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. If “Dennis” looked like this I don’t think the wife would ever let him go fishing again! — YUR
