“Only when one has lost all curiosity about the future has one reached the age to write an autobiography.” — Evelyn Waugh
(If you say so, . . . Evie??? What kind of nickname do you give a guy named Evelyn? It always freaked me out a little when “Brideshead Revisited” was playing on PBS, back in the early ’80s. First, the subject matter was a little risqué, for the time. And second, the writer had my Aunt’s given name . . . but as a man! My Aunt was a very joyful woman, and so much fun to be around. Her childhood nickname – Tweetsie – stuck with her throughout her life. Much to her chagrin. This Waugh dude, though an acclaimed writer, sounds like he was a pill. I don’t have a photo of my Aunt handy, so I’m posting a photo of Evelyn Lozado. No one would confuse her for a man! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“If politicians and scientists were lazier, how much happier we should all be.” — Evelyn Waugh
(I get the politician part, but not the scientist! Must be a Republican thing! Surprisingly, this is our first Waugh quote, since I’ve been posting these spoilers. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
