(This was most definitely a challenging Sunday Jumble!  Good thing I had some expert assistance, from the one and only ralis95!  I had gotten all the clue words, and wrote out the answer letters, but the answer itself was certainly NOT obvious!  At least not to me.  So I went ahead and did the Sunday Cryptoquote.  Fairly challenging in itself!  I had to prepare for a short trip to meet with the esteemed ralis95, who just happened to be visiting a fairly nearby bed and breakfast, as part of a momentous cross country trip, with his lovely wife, Pat.  Knowing that ralis95 does not get the Sunday Jumble, I decided to bring it along with me, to give him a shot at it.  We both agreed that the cartoon was a little confusing, because the guy doing the hitting looks like the insulted party, but apparently it was the hittee who was insulted, and must have said something just as bad, if not worse, to the guy who threw the punch.  And, I guess the observers are talking about the hittee, but it seems like they’re talking about the hitter!  I found the whole thing just a little awkward.  But anyway, during our get together we were talking about it.  It was in ralis95’s hand, so I was considering it mostly by memory of solving the individual clue words, while he was poring over it, and rearranging the answer letters into all consonants and vowels, in alphabetical order.  I threw out the word DUCKED as a possible first word, then I think one of us said DECKED, but ralis95 was quick to point out that there was only one D.  We all went on chatting about this and that when ralis95 says TURNED THE OTHER CHEEK!  Huzzah!!!  Hoorah!!! and Hooray!  The master had solved the Jumble!  Then we went back to eating and drinking, and chatting like we’d known each other our entire lives!  We spent a good four hours together.  Our wives got along swimmingly.  And, if it weren’t for a prior commitment, of Carol’s and mine, we probably would have continued and gone out to dinner!  But, like they say, all good things must come to an end.  So, we went on our merry way, while ralis95 and his lovely wife enjoyed another blissful night at The Chrystie House, in beautiful Beacon, NY.  It couldn’t have been a nicer day, in O so many ways.  I could write even more, but this is already getting a little long winded.  So, be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR

PS.  No new clue words on this Sunday!  I think the only clue word that gave me the most trouble was “cougar”.  Very nicely scrambled!  Oh, yeah.  And, the answer letter layout was exquisite!    —   YUR
