Clue/Question:  He could never beat the gingerbread man at chess because it was – – –

Answer:  ONE TOUGH COOKIE

(And, one very poor example of good sportsmanship!  I haven’t played chess in a while, but could someone tell me when they replaced:  Checkmate! . . . with Booyah!?  Couldn’t he just act as though he has won before.  Frosted clown!  One day he’ll get his.  And, then Buni can say:  “That’s the way the cookie crumbles!”

All of today’s clue words currently reside on the ralis95 clue word database.  However, all of today’s jumbles came up as new.  None of them tripped me up though.  The answer letter layout was a flamboyant fourteen letter jumble.  I think it was plenty cryptic.  I just picked up on the COOKIE vibe right away, and took it from there.

My paper doesn’t carry Buni, though I have seen it in other papers somewhere.  I’m guessing Buni is a bit of a sad sack.  Fun cartoon though.  Nice job by Mr. Ryan Pagelow!  Be well and do good friends.)   —   YUR
