(A little history lesson, for an Easter morning!  I’d never heard of Hans Wilsdorf before, but I figured he had to play a role in today’s puzzle.  Otherwise, it could have been a statue of almost anyone!  Before looking him up, I thought he might have been the author of The Day The Earth Stood Still, which is really just a movie.  The movie, though, is based on a short story, Farewell to the Master, by Edmund H. North.  But, no, Hans was a master watchmaker and the founder of the Rolex watch company.  Cool.  I guess we do learn something new every day.

There were three new additions to the ralis95 clue word database, and they were surprisingly simple words.  They are “lately”, “writer” and “proper”.  I would of thought that “mussel” and “utopia” might have been new, because they’re not quite as common as the others, but they are already in the database.  The answer letter layout was a work of art.  I don’t think it gave anything away.  A nice Sunday Jumble.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
