Visual Description: Elsie . . . getting on Elmer’s nerves.
DUIMH = HUMID, ODTBU = DOUBT, UWLLAF = LAWFUL, BLETEE = BEETLE — Giving us: HUDDBALEEL
Clue/Question: The cow’s husband refused to change his mind because he was this.
Answer: BULLHEADED
(Fun! The clue words were pretty easy, and should be very familiar to veterans, as none were *new*. They were jumbled nicely! The answer letter layout was great, and it’s a nice long, ten-letter answer. Cute cartoon, too. Borden Dairy Products used to be a pretty big company. Borden’s Ice Cream, Borden’s Condensed Milk, and Elmer’s Glue, etc.. Elsie and Elmer were advertising icons. I guess they still are, but I think the original company was taken over by a big conglomeration in the 1990s. Such is life in corporate America! And, that ain’t no bull! Be well, do good and keep thinking, friends.) — YUR
