“If you see someone without a smile today, give ’em yours.” — Dolly Parton
(America’s sweetheart! We’ve got a neighbor who walks around with such a puss on his face! We try to wave at him, and say hello, but he just ignores everyone, and walks with his head mostly down. I think he must be wearing smile repellent! His wife is very pleasant though. I hope he’s a happier sort at home. I just noticed that it doesn’t look like we’ve ever had a Dolly Madison quote before. Very strange. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” — Dolly Parton
(Sounds very familiar. But Dolly is a national treasure! And, she’s very charitable, with a heart of gold. I see she has recently teamed up with the novelist James Patterson to write a book about an aspiring young Country singer – something she knows a bit about – called “Run, Rose, Run”. I’ve always found Patterson’s books very easy to read. I enjoy his Alex Cross crime novels. A good number have been made into movies. Maybe that’s in “Run, Rose, Run”‘s future! Happy birthday to Randy Guss, of Toad the Wet Sprocket! (One of the more unusual band names! And, I like these guys.)
“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” — Dolly Parton
(Okay. We had this exact same quote less than a month ago, on January the 9th. Plus, we saw the same quote just about a year ago, on January 30th, 2020! Repeats are to – sort of – be expected, but this is ridiculous. Gotta love this old photo of Dolly though! Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” — Dolly Parton
(Cute and folksy sounding. And, kind of a strange metaphor. But, who is going to question the Queen of Country Music? Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” — Dolly Parton
(The apostrophes were definitely a big clue in getting this one started. I didn’t even bother looking for the Es. The only word that I didn’t get until the end was paving. There’s a lot of truth in this folksy saying. Rebecca has been on a Dolly Parton kick, lately. This is either the third, or fourth, one in the last few months. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“A peacock that rests on his feathers is just another turkey.” — Dolly Parton
(Yeah, baby! Ya gotta strut yer stuff! Be uncommon. Make a little noise in this world. Don’t be hiding under any bushel baskets. Ms. Parton is the only Dolly we’ve ever gotten quotations from. Maybe we could see some quotes from Dolly in “The Family Circus”. She always has plenty to say. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“I bought all those fitness videos – Richard Simmons, Jane Fonda. I love to eat cookies and watch ’em.” — Dolly Parton
(Dolly’s a national treasure! Even if you’re not a big Country music fan. Talent, glamour, and sex appeal. But, all with a good ol’ down home charm! She’s the total package. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader.” — Dolly Parton
(This quote might be difficult to put to music, but it’s a beautiful quote nonetheless. This would be more of a passive leadership. One of example. Not a taking charge kind at all. Be well and do good, friends. I’ll attempt to add pictures and such to this when I get home.) — YUR
