Answer:  LOVED HIM

(The guys couldn’t come up with a good Jumble for Phil Donahue, Jane Fonda or Samuel L. Jackson, so they went with Ray!  It might have been fun to see them try to work in some line from Snakes on a Plane or Pulp Fiction.  But then again, this is a family friendly puzzle.  There were a couple of new words today.  The one that gave me the most trouble, surprisingly, was “vodka”.  I actually had to back into it!  Not a lot of words have that DK pairing.  My semi-mental block on the word has to do with my senior year college girlfriend’s roommate’s – Lisa – spelling of VOCKA.  I was the only one old enough to buy liquor, and we were having a little party, and she wrote a list of things to pick up.  When I read it out loud – spelling it for everyone to hear – we all lost it.  She was like a pint-sized Farrah Fawcett.

  Very cute and sexy, but a total ditz.  For the rest of the year, any time someone wanted a drink with vodka we would say vocka.  She pretended to be miffed, but she actually loved the extra attention.  The other word that was new – although pretty simple – was “willow”.  The answer letter layout was good, but unless you just don’t watch television, the answer should have been fairly obvious.  Everybody Loves Raymond is still very big in syndication!  The show was supposed to be based upon his own life, so I’m guessing that is Ray’s older brother, Robert, in the lower left hand corner of the cartoon.  Ya gotta love the expression on his face.  Hey!  What about me?  Priceless.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
