Visual Description: Inflated History lesson?
FTOAO = AFOOT, AGLUH = LAUGH, DIRALA = RADIAL, FODFAR = AFFORD — Giving us: OOTLUHIALFFR
Clue/Question: When James Watt talked about his steam engine, some people thought he was . . .
Answer: FULL OF HOT AIR
(Nice long answer. Not sure how many of you guys found it difficult, though. The answer letter layout didn’t give anything away. I love that! The answer just came too quickly to me. Maybe I just relate too much to being full of hot air. I’m sure many of you have no problem agreeing with that. The clue word jumbling was top notch! I had a little trouble coming up with “radial”, even though we’ve seen it before. I didn’t have to write out combos, or anything, but it was challenging. Surprisingly, to me at least, “afford” is new to the ralis95 clue word database. Very illustrative cartoon! I hope some of you elementary teachers out there can see fit to using this in your History – and English – lessons. Be well and do good, friends.) — YUR
PS. The only bummer about today’s Jumble is that, during some research, I came across a picture of James G. Watt, who was – very unfortunately – Secretary of the Interior, for a couple of years under Ronald Reagan. That tool is somebody I’d sooner like to forget. — YUR
