Answer:  FIRST FAMILY

(Very good!  A fine pun, indeed, along with a quick history lesson.  From Manhattan, to Philadelphia, to the newly created Federal City, which came to be know as Washington, D.C., our capitol was in a state of flux in those early years.  But, ever since John Adams, every other U.S. president has called the White House home.

There were no new clue words today, but all of the jumbles came up as new for me.  I was able to solve all of them rather quickly.  The answer letter layout is beautifully cryptic.  I don’t think it gave a thing away.  It was the sight of Abigail, and what looked like their children, which led me to the word “family”.  Second I got “first”!  Fine period cartoon.  It was key,  for me, in solving the answer.  Be well and do good, friends.)   —   YUR
